DIY Christmas Gift Ideas On a Budget For the Beauty Queen

It's the silly season yet again, and as summer arrives we might be finding ourselves a little overwhelmed by the amount of Christmas shopping that needs to be done over the next couple of weeks. Especially if you're on a budget.

No need to fear this year! I have you covered with some epic handmade, homemade little gifts that are not only friendly to your wallet, but add that special personalised touch that really makes gifts memorable! The gift ideas below offer something for your beauty queens. And they're all NO-TOX!

1. Homemade Hair Mask

Summer, salt and sand, you might be finding your hair a little wild. So the recipe below is for an incredible hair mask that you can leave in for anywhere between 20minutes and 20hours to nourish your scalp and hair, prevent breakage, support hair growth, and leave it soft and silky smooth.

A small glass jar (40-60ml is a great size)

Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil

3 drops of lavender

3 drops of tea tree

3 drops of cedarwood

3 drops of rosemary

Just mix all together and keep sealed in the jar and massage through hair and into scalp whenever the need calls!

2. Peppermint Coffee Sugar Scrub

Oh my goodness! This scrub is simply DIVINE. The combination of coffee and peppermint is an absolute winner!

Find a nice glass jar and decorate it appropriately. I love to add some lace ribbon for decorations to make this a super cute DIY Christmas Gift.

1 cup coffee grounds

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/3 cup coconut oil

1-3 drops Peppermint oil (to desired mintiness)

Magnesium powder (optional)

Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl then store in the jar you prepared, wrapping optional!

3. Personalised Perfume Roller

These are always a winner. Super simple, and its always fun to try and create unique blends that you think the recipient will love.

1 amber glass roller

A selection of essential oils

Your carrier oil of choice (I love dōTERRA's fractionated coconut oil)

Add your mix of chosen essential oils, ensuring to dilute to the ratio appropriate for the use of the blend and the age of the person that will be using it. Currently I am obsessed with a blend of ylang yang and cypress!

I hope that these DIY gifts get your creative mode wanting to make some bad ass personalised gifts this year. Just always remember to make sure that any essential oils you use are of the highest quality and 100% pure. In my house we love dōTERRA. To find out more, click here.

Happy making!!
